  • Is it necessary to login via Facebook?

    Woo uses your Facebook profile to conveniently fill your information into Woo and to make sure your profile is not shown to your Facebook friends. Woo also uses your interests and mutual friends to create an accurate profile of yours and determine whom you are more likely to click with. So, Woo will need you to sign in through Facebook only. But don’t worry, we never post anything to your wall.

  • I registered through Facebook, but am unable to get into the app. Why?

    Woo has stringent screening mechanisms in place to make sure fake profiles don’t get through. We constantly review profiles and allow only genuine Facebook profiles. If these things are followed but you are still unable to get on the app, you should check your network connection.

  • How can I edit my profile?

    To edit your profile, go to the left menu bar and click on the edit profile option and make changes as you want - about your education details, religion, height, personality traits, likes, interests, etc.
    You can also edit your profile from the Me tab or from the left menu. Just go to your profile from there and tap the edit icon. A cool tip: The more your profile is complete, the higher are your chances of getting a match. Get that profile completion meter up to 100%.

  • How do I add more pictures to my profile?

    When you sign up on Woo, we instantly fetch 4 popular pictures from your Facebook account. However, you can edit and replace those pictures by clicking on the edit profile option and add new pictures of yours from your phone gallery or by taking a selfie.

  • How do I change my location?

    Woo picks your current location when you login to the app for the first time. However, in case you are at a new location and want to look up people around you there, you can always update it from the Settings menu. To change your current location, we first ask you to switch on your location settings. If you agree to that, your current location will be updated automatically. However, if you wish to update it manually, you can say No to location settings and update your location by typing the city name or selecting one from list provided.

  • Why am I being shown these profiles, and how can I change my preferences of profiles being shown?

    Woo's matching logic takes into account many factors while showing you profiles; like - mutual interests, commonalities, and age and location preferences. You can change your preferences by going into settings section.

  • How can I match with a profile I like?

    To like a profile, tap on the "tick" button at the bottom of the profile card. To increase your chances of getting a like back from this profile, you can also send a Crush. Crush allows you to send a customized message to users you really like. You can also like a user by giving answers to the questions they have asked. If you like someone and they like you back, it’s a match! You can then begin chatting with each other. You can see all your matches in the Matchbox section, which you can reach by tapping on the icon on the top right of your home screen.

  • How do I chat with my match?

    You can only chat with people you have matched with. Once you do, you can send them unlimited messages on chat. The more interesting your messages, the higher the chances of you converting it into a conversation. So go ahead and start off on the right note. Tell them more about yourself.
    Once you get a match, only then you can chat and send unlimited free messages to your match. For that, you need to tap on matchbox icon and select the user you want to chat with.

  • Can I search for a specific profile on Woo?

    Here’s a great way to search for profiles based on your interests. If you come across a #Tag in a profile that catches your fancy, tap on it and we will show you all profiles which have that tag and suit your discovery preferences. Go ahead, give it a shot.

  • Asking and Answering Questions

  • How do I answer a user’s question?

    To see questions a user has asked, check out the detailed profile of that user by scrolling down through it. If the user has asked any question, you can tap on the answer button to answer the question. If the user has not asked any question, you can invite the user to answer your question as well.

  • Who gets to see answer the questions I have asked?

    Questions asked by you are part of your profile. Anyone who visits your profiles and checks them out can choose to answer. Pro tip: Use Boost to show your profile to more people and get more answers to what you've asked!

  • Why should I become a subscribed user of Woo?

    A subscribed user on Woo gets access to a whole bunch of features to make their Woo experience even better. Here are a few:

    1. Find out who liked you - Get to see profiles of all the users who have liked you. If you like them back, it’s a definite match!
    2. Visitors - See profiles of all the users who have visited your profile.
    3. Unlimited Likes - You will have no limit on the number of profiles you can like each day.
    4. No Ads - You will not be shown any ads.

  • What is a Crush and why should I buy Crush?

    Crush allows you to send a customized message to a user you really like before matching with the user. It allows your profile to stand out from the rest and gives you a chance to make that perfect first impression. Using crush increases your chances of getting by 3 times!

  • How will Boost help me get better matches?

    When you Boost your profile, your profile is shown to more people in a shorter time duration. Boost increases your visibility in the app and, therefore, your chances of finding a match. You can activate your Boost anytime within the validity period of the package you have purchased. Another great thing about Boost is that you can see all the people who visit your profile while you are Boosted. Just go to Visitors within the Me Tab to do so.

  • Woo Plus Subscription

    Purchasing and Managing your Woo Plus Subscription:
    If you decide to purchase Woo Plus, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the iTunes Store after purchase. The current Woo Plus subscription price starts at $12.99 USD per month for monthly auto-renewal, $29.99 for auto-renewal once every 3 months and $39.99 for auto-renewal once every 6 months. Prices are in US dollars, may vary in countries other than the US, and are subject to change without notice. No cancellation of current subscriptions is allowed during the active subscription period. If you decide not to purchase Woo Plus, you can simply continue using Woo for free.

    How do I cancel my Woo Plus subscription?
    You can cancel your Woo Plus subscription at anytime.
    To cancel your subscription on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch directly:

    Go to the App Store on your iOS device.
    Scroll to the bottom.
    Tap Apple ID (your Apple ID email)
    Tap View Apple ID.
    Log in if it asks you to.
    Scroll down to Subscriptions and tap Manage.
    Select Woo and set the auto-renewal slider to Off or select Unsubscribe.
    If the option to turn off auto-renewal is not displayed here, you may have already chosen to turn it off, canceling future charges. If that's the case, you should be able to see the end date of your subscription on this screen.

    How do I request a refund?
    If you subscribed to Woo Plus using your Apple ID, refunds are handled by Apple, not Woo. If you wish to request a refund, go to iTunes, click on your Apple ID, select “Purchase history”, find the transaction and hit “Report Problem”. You can also submit a request at https://getsupport.apple.com

  • What about my privacy? Is my contact information safe?

    Woo takes special care to ensure all information you share with us remains confidential and is not misused. Woo does not share any of your details with anyone. Some of the security measures we take on the app to help you feel secure are -

    1. Displaying only the initials of female users’ names, unless they choose otherwise
    2. Displaying only the first name of male users
    3. Option for all users to hide their work info
    4. Not allowing users to take screenshots of the app (Android only).
    5. Encrypting your phone number to keep it secured.

  • What happens when I delete my account?

    We strongly encourage you not to delete your account on Woo, as once you delete your account, all your information (including chats & matches) are permanently removed from our database. If in future you wish to get back on Woo, you will have to sign up as a new user.
